Andrew Robl is Tearing Up Live Cash Game Streams; Up $3.156M in 2023
It is usually poker tournament players that find themselves in the headlines after helping themselves to a bumper score, capturing a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet, or lifting a coveted trophy aloft. Cash game players often fly under the radar, going about their business in a quiet yet deadly efficient way. Andrew Robl is one such cash game superstar, a player who is in profit to the tune of $3,156,100 in televised cash games, according to Highroll Poker Tracker.
Highroll Poker tracker records and analyses results data from televised and live-streamed cash games from most major poker broadcasts. Those broadcasts include High Stakes Poker, Hustler Casino Live, Live at the Bike, No Gamble No Future, Poker After Dark, and more. According to Highroll Poker Tracker’s data, Andrew Robl, known as “good2cu” in online poker circles, has accumulated a staggering $3,156,100 in profit during 2023.
A Difficult Start to 2023
Robl was absent from live-streamed and televised cash games in 2023 until March 21, when he sat down and played a two-hour session on Season 10 Episode 9 of High Stakes Poker. The session didn’t go great for Robl, as he nursed a $35,900 loss.
Robl’s appearances on Episodes 10-12 of High Stakes Poker also resulted in losses, and he found himself in a $182,400 hole at the end of April.
Matters became worse for the Las Vegas resident after he posted a $66,500 loss during Episode 3 of Bally Live Poker. It could have been much worse, though, because Eric Persson (-$241,900) and Rob Yong (-$412,800) left that game with gaping holes in their bankrolls.
In mid-July, Robl featured in Season 3 Episode 1 of No Gamble No Future. It was a serious grind for the cash game guru, with him locking in a $500 profit for his two-hour session, or a solitary small blind. Matthew Gonzales dominated that session, walking away with a $166,000 profit, leaving Persson, Patrik Antonius, Yong, and Markus Gonsalves in the red.
Befuddled Garrett Adelstein Loses to Wildest Poker Hero Call You’ll Ever See
A week later, Robl pulled himself out of a hole and put his earnings into the black courtesy of a $242,000 profitable session on Season 3 Episode 2 of No Gamble No Future.
Eight of Robl’s next ten live-streamed cash games ended with him padding his bankroll with vast sums of money, especially on No Gamble No Future where he enjoyed wins of $10,500, $275,000, and a whopping $652,000. While Robl will look back fondly on that particularly profitable session, Persson will want to forget it because he locked in a staggering $958,000 loss for the night!
More big wins followed, including a session yielding $188,600 profit at the 2023 High Stakes Cash Game Episode 4 WPT Cash on December 15. Amazingly, Robl was ony the third biggest winner in that game because Garrett Adelstein banked $254,800 while Charles Yu ran hotter than the sun and reeled in $331,000 over the course of three-and-a-half hours.
Biggest Winners of 2023
Unsurprisingly, with $3,156,100 profit, Robl is the biggest winner in live-streamed and televised cash games in 2023, according to Highroll Poker Tracker. However, four other players have improved their financial situation by seven figures, too.
Tom Dwan came out on top to the tune of $2,737,600 while Jean-Robert Bellande’s $1,811,400 profit places him third in the big winner’s list. Hasan Onay may have only featured for 20 hours in 2023, but those 20 hours were ridiculously profitable, earning him $1,751,000.
The prolific Ethan Yau was the fifth $1 million+ winner, netting $1,138,920 over the course of 118 hours.
