At Least Three WPT Voyage Packages Must Be Won at WPT Global This Weekend

What are your plans for the evening of January 28? Order some takeout? Watch a movie? It should be getting your grind on at WPT Global because at least three WPT Global players will win a $12,400 WPT Passport to the upcoming $1.5 million guaranteed WPT Voyage.

A $1,060 buy-in satellite, named $12,400 WPT Passport Qualifier (3 Packages Guaranteed), shuffles up and deals at 5:30 p.m. ET (10:30 p.m. GMT) and, as its name suggests, will award no fewer than a trio of packages to the poker trip of a lifetime aboard the WPT Voyage cruise ship.

If you are one of the lucky passport winners, you’ll set sail from Miami on March 31 aboard the 1,400-cabin Valiant Lady as the World Poker Tour heads out into the open seas. You’ll enjoy stops in the Cayman Islands and The Bahamas before returning to Florida on April 5, hopefully having secured a WPT title and a cash-laden suitcase.

Each $12,400 WPT Passport awards its recipient:

Don’t worry if the $1,060 buy-in for the $12,400 WPT Passport Qualifier is outside the limits of your bankroll; it is for most online poker players. WPT Global has cut-price satellites feeding into this grand finale, starting at only $5.

The $5 WPT Passport Feeders award tickets to the $55 buy-in $220 WPT Passport Feeders. Those $55 buy-in satellites payout in $220 tickets, which can be used to enter the penultimate branch of the qualifying tree. Progress from one of the $220 WPT Passport Feeders to take your seat in the $1,060 final where the $12,400 packages are waiting.

What’s Happening on the WPT Voyage

The WPT Voyage schedule is brimming with tournaments throughout the six-day luxury cruise. A $2,500 No-Limit Hold’em turbo event kicks off proceedings on the evening of March 31 as you set sail from Miami, Florida.

Mixed game fans will be delighted to learn a $660 buy-in H.O.R.S.E. tournament takes place on the afternoon of April 1. A couple of Pot-Limit Omaha events and a limit Omaha Hi-Lo tournament are also scheduled during WPT Voyage.

Two No-Limit Hold’em competitions stand out from the crowd due to the guarantees on their prize pools. First, the $1,100 WPT Prime Voyage guarantees to award at least $500,000 to players reaching the money places. The actual prize pool could be much larger because the cruise will have hundreds of poker players hanging around the decks itching to play some high-quality poker events!

The second bumper NLHE tournament is the $5,000 buy-in, $1 million guaranteed WPT Voyage Championship, which is sure to attract some of the best grinders in the business, but also dozens of online qualifiers and other poker aficionados taking a shot at the big time. That eclectic mix of players could result in this being one of the softest $5,000 buy-in events you ever play!

Although massively costly and probably not an event you have earmarked as a must-play, is the $25,000 Super High Roller. You may not be bankrolled for flicking in $25,000, but it could be your best chance to catch a glimpse of your favorite poker player in action!
