Doug Polk on Joe Ingram's Poker Podcasting Return: Come Play at The Lodge, Mike Postle

Joey Ingram, perhaps the most popular poker podcaster ever, returned to the podcast streets Monday for an entertaining discussion with Doug Polk, who made a bold offer to accused poker cheat Mike Postle.
In an unrelated note, Postle made a surprising random public appearance last week for an X Spaces conversation. During that discussion, which lasted around two hours, he repeated his longstanding denial that he cheated during Stones Live streams in 2018 and 2019. Veronica Brill, the Stones player and commentator who originally brought forth the accusations in September 2019, then fired back with a lengthy statement to PokerNews.
Polk Offers Up a Challenge for Accused Poker Cheat
The interview with Polk on Ingram’s Power Poker Podcast, formerly the Poker Life Podcast, wasn’t all about poker. They discussed numerous topics such as the upcoming $1 million buy-inHustler Casino Live game, the ongoing bot issues on ACR Poker, the current state of content in poker, among other topics.
But the juiciest of all topics discussed was on Postle. More specifically, an intriguing offer that Polk made for the accused cheat that would certainly bring in viewers.
If you can hold your own at Stones Gambling Hall, you can do just fine down here at The Lodge. Well make sure to track everything and its done fairly, assuming the players want to play with Mike Postle, and lets just see if he can run it back, Polk offered a challenge to Postle.
Polk is the co-owner of The Lodge Card Club near Austin, the largest poker room in Texas with over 80 card tables. The Lodge hosts a popular stream with 168,000 subscribers, second only in the space to Hustler Casino Live (322,000 subscribers).
If he can get even close to (his Stone Live win rate), Im willing to eat my own words as he rakes in my money, Polk offered up to Postle.
Can Polk Lure in Postle to Play
During the 2019 poker-wide investigation into the Postle cheating allegations, Polk and Ingram were two of the most prominent figures taking a deep dive into the Stones Live hand histories.
Polk reiterated his thoughts on the situation to Ingram, saying the guy clearly cheated.
Either he is the greatest gift that poker has ever seen, or hes cheating. Lets settle thison the felt. I would love to host it, Polk said of Postle.
He wasnt joking and made it clear he would allow Postle to come prove his chops on The Lodge stream. But he also gave a doom and gloom prediction for those who’d like to see it take place.
You know whats going to happen, Joey? Hes not going to win anywhere close to what he won before. Hes instead not going to take me up on this. Or, lose. Or, win small. Hes not going to be the greatest poker player of all-time, and I do hope he brings his hat because theres going to be nothing in that crotch to help him at The Lodge. Ill tell you that right now, Polk anticipates.
Postle hasnt appeared on a live-stream since September 2019 when Brill accused him of cheating. He did, however, make a deep run in a tournament in Mississippi last January, which resulted in a seventh place finish for $32,703.
Polk, once a regular guest on the Poker Life Podcast, and Ingram chatted for about two hours (full conversation below).
